Wah!

This game has many variations on the internet.   This is the one we use

Purpose :
Concentration and Quick reaction skills.

Directions:

1. Everyone stands in a big circle.

2. The person starting the game puts their hands together (fingers out straight), raises their arms straight up in the air above their head and then “chops” straight down pointing to and making eye contact directly with someone else in the circle while calling out “Wah!”

3.  The person that has just been “Wah’ed” and the people on either side then move to action.
    a.  The person being “Wah’ed” raises their hand up in the air just like the
person that started it and calls out “Wah.”
b. The people directly to the left and right of this person now put their
hands together and make a “chopping” motion at the person in between them and call out “Wah!” simultaneously with that person.
c. If anyone of those three do the wrong action or hesitates, then they are
out.  You can either do it as single person or the group of three depending on how large the group is.
4. If no one gets out, then the person that was “Wah’ed” will now chop straight down pointing to and making eye contact directly with yet another person in the circle while calling out “Wah!” and the game continues on.
OR
If someone in the “Wah’ed” group is out, the person that pointed to them repeats the first part to chop, point, and yell “wah!” at someone else in the circle.

5.  When there are only 4 or less people left, the people on either side can stop chopping towards the center person, and it’s just raising your hand, chopping, and calling “Wah” with only one person reacting.
6. When it gets down to only two people, you can thumb wrestle or rock paper scissors for a winner, or congratulate both as winner.
